“Fostering an atmosphere where friends gather, conversation flows and memories are woven.”
Jeyes of Earls Barton is a family run business and has sat proudly on Earls Barton Village Square for over 42 years. Through the front door, you will find a thriving attraction and lively hub for villagers, families, friends and tourists. Jeyes of Earls Barton is comprised of an award-wining coffee shop, gift and toy shops, and a maze of heritage exhibitions. Today, Georgina ‘Mum’, along with sisters, Pip and Anna work together to create a welcoming place for you to Shop, Lunch & Explore with all the family.
The name of Jeyes is “written large in the pages of the modern history of Northampton” possessing a crest and motto, “Tenax et fidelis” (Tenacious and faithful). The Jeyes Heritage collections recall the Victorian lives of Northamptonshire brothers, John Jeyes, prolific inventor of disinfectants including the world famous Jeyes Fluid and Philadelphus Jeyes, entrepreneur and original creator of Northamptonshire Sauce.
Jeyes's Northamptonshire Sauce was recreated and since its launch in 2020 has received various food awards and featured on a TV series. Our aim is to establish Jeyes’s Northamptonshire Sauce as a household name and to earn its place in every sauce cupboard in the UK - that’s approximately 27 million cupboards!
AS ADVERTISED IN THE NORTHAMPTON MERCURY IN 1852, “Pronounced by connoisseurs to be a very Superior Sauce for enriching Gravies or as a zest for Fish, Curries, Game, Steaks, Cold Meats and Soups, it is Universally Admired.
